An interdisciplinary technologist who thrives at the intersection of STEAM and social justice, Tiff seeks to leverage technology for an egalitarian future. Her background in journalism, design and computer science informs her work as a software developer in NYC. She has also done research on best practices for building sustainable tech solutions in underserved communities. These experiences guide her work as Director of Technology at AsylumConnect, a nonprofit creating the first online resource database for LGBTQ asylum seekers in the U.S.
Outside of the tech world, Tiff is familiar with various models of collective decision-making and cooperative living. She believes in the power of non-hierarchical structures to catalyze well-being and sustainability, and is currently founding egalitarian income-sharing communities in NYC with Point A. Due in no small part to her love for Star Trek, Tiff continues to research ethical frameworks for designing technology to address human problems at scale.
