Stephanie Tan is Vice President, Head of Cybersecurity and Technology Risk at OnDeck. OnDeck (NYSE: ONDK) is the leader in online small business lending. OnDeck has deployed over $5 billion to more than 50,000 customers in 700 different industries across the United States, Canada and Australia.
Stephanie is responsible for leading OnDeck’s Cybersecurity and Technology Risk teams. Prior to joining OnDeck, Stephanie was the Senior Director, Head of Cybersecurity for Blackboard, a global leader in enterprise education technology that improves the experience of millions of students and learners around the world every day. She led Blackboard’s global security teams and program across infrastructure and applications. Prior to Blackboard, she held similar roles in enterprise security architecture and software development at Fannie Mae and IBM. Stephanie holds a M.S. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University, a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland, and certifications for the CISM, CISSP, PMP, and SABSA SCPA. She is a co-author of the first edition of the OWASP Application Security Guide For CISOs.
Aside from mad passion for cybersecurity, Stephanie loves rock climbing and competing in Ironman triathlons. On weekends, she can be found hanging off the side of a mountain or cycling on a country road.
