Sheila serves as aprendIA’s Global Design and Tech Lead at Airbel, the Innovation and Research Lab of the International Rescue Committee, a global humanitarian organization. She leads the intersection of design, technology, and behavioral science for our educational chatbots. She ensures our AI-powered solutions address client learning needs through intuitive UX and robust design processes grounded in behavioral insights.

With 14 years of experience in applied behavioral science, Sheila fosters engagement and collective action, combining behavioral principles, human-centered design, and usability research to create accessible, impactful solutions that address user needs, particularly in the humanitarian sector.

Her expertise spans projects across Latin America and global initiatives, where she has designed and implemented user-friendly solutions for various social services. She has worked with governments, NGOs, consulting firms, and the private sector to create accessible and impactful programs that cater to the needs of different communities and stakeholders.
