Rachel Robasciotti

Founder & Wealth Manager
Robasciotti & Philipson

Rachel J. Robasciotti is the founder of Robasciotti & Philipson, an LGBTQ-owned wealth management firm in San Francisco. An entrepreneur who started her company at the age of 25, she is a lesbian, woman of color wealth manager specializing in serving technology professionals.

Prior to founding Robasciotti & Philipson, Rachel was a business strategist at Prudential Financial and the top financial planner at MetLife Securities. She ultimately chose to found her own firm because she wanted freedom from the pressure to sell products that were not always appropriate for clients. Rachel decided to start Robasciotti & Philipson to provide completely independent advice that puts advisors on the same side of the table as clients, using a model that ties advisor compensation directly to the services that benefit clients most.

Rachel is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, where she studied economics. Before founding the firm, Rachel obtained the Series 7 (General Securities Representative Examination) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) licenses. Rachel serves on the board of directors of the Horizons Foundation and is co-chair of that organization’s Professional Advisors Council, which provides professional education for LGBTQ advisors. Previously, she served on the boards of Face Value and the Foundation to End Sexual Violence. She is the founder of LGBTQ Tech Philanthropists, a community of young donors in technology and also served for seven years on the board of the National Center for Lesbian Rights. Rachel lives in San Francisco.
