Rachel Kim Bierner currently serves as Cloud Security Leader at Wells Fargo in the Information and Cyber Security (ICS) organization, where she has responsibility for developing and driving the company’s cloud security strategy and control framework.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Rachel led various cybersecurity and technology functions over 19 years at Bank of America. With the Global Information Security division, Rachel directed the cloud security program and the company’s cybersecurity planning function. Prior to that, Rachel served in technology leadership roles that covered the full lifecycle of software delivery, program/project management, data management and technology operations.

Before joining Bank of America, Rachel was a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in Customer Relationship Management solution implementations for clients that ranged from technology start-ups to international conglomerates.

Rachel is passionate about promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the recruitment, development, and engagement of talent. To build a more gender-balanced cybersecurity workforce, she co-founded Project Cyber, a non-profit organization with the mission to inspire and empower females to succeed in the field of cybersecurity.

Rachel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economics from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). She is based in her hometown of Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and two children.
