Nina is a developer at Mapbox where she tinkers with the back-end systems that allows users to upload custom data on their maps. #UMBCproud, Nina attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, graduating with a bachelor’s in philosophy. After a long stint in intellectual property law, she was introduced to programming through Rails Girls, and is now a co-organizer of her local chapter. She is fired up about working with organizations that help introduce under-represented groups to programming, and promote diversity and inclusion in the Washington, D.C. tech scene. When she’s not building or breaking things, you can find her at the archery range, or the local comic book store.
Diverse representation is a priority for us. We're proud to say that our Summit speakers are 80% queer women, 50% women of color, 25% Black & Latinx, and 15% transgender and gender nonconforming.
