Nikki Murray is a Software Engineer at Social Driver, where she writes in mostly Ruby. Dedicated to expanding the rights of women and other people who experience unintended pregnancies, she was previously a social worker with the National Abortion Federation Hotline Fund, helping people who were pregnant navigate the barriers to abortion access. She attended the White House LGBTQ Tech and Innovation Summit and has written for Model View Culture about programmer and engineering legitimacy, and the responsible use of Twitter to protect victims of domestic violence. She enjoys ORM’s, data visualization, lightweight frameworks, the Legend of Korra, and playing with her three cats.
