Trans Empowerment Project

Mo Viviane (they/them) is the Program Manager of Trans Employment Project at Trans Empowerment Project, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the Trans* community, with a focus on empowering disabled QTIPOC. Trans Employment Project addresses the growing needs of Trans*, Non-Binary, and Gender Variant individuals in the U.S. by identifying new career opportunities and providing resources and training to employers to address the obstacles and barriers that Trans* folks face while seeking employment. The project addresses the immediate needs of Trans* job seekers and works within the community to collaborate on solutions for these issues.

Mo is also the Client Engagement Manager for OhHeyCoach, a career navigation and leadership development consultancy. They previously served as the Journalist for Transilient’s Climbing Every Mountain docu-series, highlighting mental health awareness of Trans*, Non-Binary, and Gender Variant folks across Appalachia. Their work is a testament to their dedication and belief in the power of community and activism.

Outside of work within TEP and OhHeyCoach, Mo is a cat parent, a partner, and an MSSW Student a the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville. They spend a lot of their time focusing on radical self-care, joy, and leaning into happiness as a tool in creating a thrive-able future for themself.
