Mita Mallick is the Director of Diversity Outreach & Inclusion for Unilever North America. Prior to this role, she was a Senior Brand Manager in the Skin Division for Unilever North America overseeing the U.S. Body Care Portfolio (including Vaseline, Suave and Dove Body Lotions.) She was one of the chief lieutenants in launching The Vaseline Healing Project in the U.S., signing award-winning actress & activist Viola Davis as the brand’s ambassador.
Mita has had an extensive career in the beauty and consumer products goods space.
She started her career at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products, working on AVEENO Hand and Body Lotion. She then worked at AVON products, setting the global strategy and innovation pipeline in both Skin Care and Color Cosmetics. Mita also helped lead the Chapstick business for Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, where she led the brand into premium territory, launching exclusive items in the Drug Channel.
Mita was a MAKER Awardee in 2016. She was also on the “50 People Under 40 Shaking Up Beauty” Youthquake List by Women’s Wear Daily. She is a co-chair of GALvanize, Unilever’s internal women’s organization that supports the growth of female executives, and is on the Fundraising Committee for Columbia University School of the Arts. Mita has a B.A. from Columbia University and a M.B.A. from Duke University.
Mita resides in Jersey City, New Jersey with her husband and two young children.
