Melissa Rose Kancov is Vice President and Engineering Manager in Wells Fargo’s Technology Division. She is responsible for managing multi-disciplinary teams supporting various lending and consumer resolution systems used by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Through her 10 years at Wells Fargo, Melissa has led key initiatives within Wholesale Technology Architecture and Consumer Lending Technology supporting Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Melissa served as the Head of Program Management at Lydian Data Services, providing technology solutions and services for Wall Street’s most prestigious financial institutions, including: Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley. Prior to Lydian, Melissa led and managed multiple teams for ABN AMRO, including: Business Analytics and Customer Support, and has served in various leadership roles within the mortgage technology industry.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University and also attended Spelman College, a historically Black college, in Atlanta, Georgia. Melissa is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and is especially focused on racial and social justice, genealogy and epigenetics, her own Louisiana Creole ancestry and is currently working on a documentary highlighting her family’s distinctive contributions in the United States.

Melissa serves as the San Francisco Bay Area’s site lead for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Wells Fargo Technology, and is passionate about inspiring and uplifting women and people of color in technology.
