My passion is implementing strategy that includes designing and building experiences that delight users and maximizes their efficiency and productivity. I spent the first 10 years of my career implementing early office systems computers, learning from the UX designers who designed the first desktop systems. Next I designed and implemented the first GUI tools for the Oracle database. I continued my career at Oracle by building the first UX team in the Server Technologies division, working on the experiences that continue to make system administrators and DBAs more productive. I spent some time at Intuit working on consumer products, at Genentech working on their corporate intranet, and then at Guidewire, working on software for the insurance industry. I currently lead the Design and User Enablement team at MarkLogic, working to improve the experience of implementing applications built on the MarkLogic server.
