Head of Product for Amex Digital Labs

Lisa Yokoyama is the Head of Product for Amex Digital Labs, driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise-wide digital solutions. In this role she leads teams doing research and development to create net-new products and services for American Express. Additionally, her team manages in-market solutions that power chat and voice servicing, facilitate digital and peer to peer payments, and enhance travel planning and bookings. These products reach tens of millions of customers globally and are central to meeting customers’ evolving expectations and needs.

Lisa leads product partnerships between American Express and her counterparts at Apple, Amazon, PayPal, Facebook, and Google as well as with the organization’s strategic merchant partners. She’s an evangelist for digital product management within the enterprise and sponsors the new product development process in Labs. Lisa actively mentors the next generation of digital product managers and helped define diversity, equity, and inclusion tools for product development across the company.

Lisa started her career in the non-profit sector. She led rural community development while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Haiti and managed operations for public health grants at Population Services International in Washington, D.C.

Lisa received an MBA from Columbia Business School and is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara where she received degrees in Economics and Environmental Studies.
