Clinical Research Director

Lauren Broffman, Senior Research Scientist at Ro, is a lover of all things research, data, statistics, and health care innovation. Lauren has published articles on reducing health disparities and improving care access, the effects of federal policy interventions on population health, and the diffusion of evidence-based practices. She has worked side-by-side with several state governments on improving their Medicaid programs, and has conducted thousands of interviews with patients and health care leaders in pursuit of the stories behind the data. Her PhD in health policy does not preclude her from experiencing frustration when dealing with her own family’s health needs, so she is thrilled to be working at Ro where she can apply her scientific passion to building a better healthcare system for everyone. In her spare time she is co-writing a book with her wife about their experience as millennials caring for an elderly parent with dementia (because there is not an app for that), and hangs out with her poorly behaved but very cute old dogs.
