LaTecia Johnson is a senior entertainment & technology executive and entrepreneur at the intersection of culture, community, and creativity. As Founder of Visionary Rising (VSNRY) – a creative studio for ambitious brands and creators ready to scale – she’s focused on building safe digital spaces while doing innovative work for rising and global acts. Her career includes stints at Fortune 100 companies such as Apple, Microsoft, and Nielsen Media, as well as high-growth startups such as Decent Labs, A Cloud Guru, and more. In everything she does, LaTecia works to transform ideas into full-scale endeavors while delivering high-impact outcomes for global clients using a combination of data, actionable insights, emerging social trends, and interactive content.
She is also currently the Head of Growth at FORMLESS leading creator initiatives and overall customer lifecycle for the organization. FORMLESS is a music technology company with the mission of creating virtual and physical experiences that enable people to live more fulfilling lives. Prior to joining the company, she wrapped up a one-year role as the Global Music Partnerships lead at Royal, a platform that enables artists to sell revenue from streams directly to fans, where she delivered category-defining activations for global acts such as Nas, Diplo, The Chainsmokers, and Royce 5’9” while championing campaigns for rising artists Yemi Alade, and 27Delly. In addition, she spearheaded strategies to drive artist-aligned incentives, educating artists, managers, distributors & label teams on web3 engagement and, leading the charge on agency partnerships.
In the past, LaTecia has also worked with clients such as ABC, Amazon, Bacardi, Beats by Dre, ESPN, Disney, Facebook, Viacom (BET & MTV), WPP, Walmart, YouTube, Vevo, among many others. She focuses her attention on working with partners that are championing a more integrated ecosystem that positions creators at the forefront through the development of tools, resources, and strategies where they can monetize their audience directly, retain ownership of their intellectual property, and benefit through authentic partnerships with brands. Originally from Tampa Bay, LaTecia now resides in Austin with her family. She’s driven to foster the next generation of entertainment and technology executives through mentorship initiatives and is especially an advocate for uplifting the voices of women in tech, as well as the LGBTQ+ community.
