Larissa works at Mozilla, the open-source, non-profit makers of Firefox, as Diversity and Inclusion Lead, where she leads global efforts to build an inclusive culture and diverse staff/volunteer base, and to develop diverse Mozillians into global leaders. Formerly she led contributor development, seeking to grow and develop Mozilla’s global contributor base and work with the world to build the internet the world needs. Prior to joining Mozilla, Larissa was the first Product Manager at Internet Systems Consortium, an open-source organization which is the creator of BIND, the DNS software which serves 80% of the name servers on the internet and hosts one of the 13 root name servers. Larissa also leads multiple open-source diversity mentoring programs, and travels worldwide supporting diversity in tech and open culture – “a dream come true.”
