Kyl James (he/him/his) is a self-described data geek, a data modeler and a member of the Data Standards and Governance group supporting Wells Fargo’s Consumer Lending business. Kyl has been a data modeler in the financial services industry for over 10 years, with experience in business conceptual modeling, logical modeling, physical modeling for relational and non-relational databases, metadata management, data lineage, and data governance. He is queer, isogender, and disabled.

Kyl serves as the co-chair of the Enterprise Data Modeling Community of Practice, the incoming chair of the Pride Employee Resource Group chapter for employees in Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska, and the head of the LGBTQ+ workstream for technology employees in the Des Moines, IA, market. He is a Certified SAFe Practitioner and a member of DAMA International. He has prior experience as a Business Analyst, a Business Systems Analyst, a Product Owner, and in Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analytics. Kyl earned a Bachelor in Applied Studies with an emphasis in Human Relations from the University of Iowa.
