Krisstina Wilmoth, aka Kale, is an unusual breed at NASA. She swims between the worlds of science and engineering as well as those of communication, human resources, and operations. In a world of deep thinkers and deeper careers, she has moved across and between organizations and found ways to bridge them all. Krisstina has also literally swum a few hundreds miles in her lifetime including spending over 24 consecutive hours underwater. Currently, she is an Executive Officer for NASA Ames Research Center, and she has been a Professor of Journalism Technical Communication, an Education Director, a Technical Writer, a Group Home Parent, and even a Grocery Bagger. As a first generation college student and member of a working class family, Krisstina had much to learn about how to navigate in the professional world. Each position has taught her something about humanity and about how the world works, and she enjoys making connections for others in those communities and especially pulling along those who might not otherwise have an opportunity to do great things. Join her at NASA for the opportunity of a lifetime.
