Kanithea Powell began her career in the arts as one of the founding members of the Orlando Black Theatre, that city’s first African- American theater company. She is the author of “Butch: Never Judge a Butch By Her Cover”, an international coffee table book in over 23 countries, that has been featured in publications such as New York Times, Huffington Post, After Ellen and Buzzfeed. As a writer, film director, innovator and creative, she is the founder and CEO of QFN TV, a global streaming network set to launch in 2022 that focuses on content and creators that are women of color. QFN TV is the first global streaming platform that truly caters to all women of color from all walks of life-because representation matters. The platform will offer a curated selection of films, series, podcasts, music, and videos. Additionally, QFN TV will release original content, including tv series, films as well as numerous podcasts. Its content will be available online and via services including IOS, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Android TV and Roku.
