Kai Morton is a 19 year old freshman attending University of Maryland Baltimore County studying Computer Science & Game Development. In her spare time Kai is an avid video gamer and bassist. She discovered her love for technology as a middle school student and was an early member of Black Girls CODE since 2011. Through her participation in Black Girls CODE and many other coding camps and workshops; Kai has learned to program in Javascript, Java, HTML/CSS, Ruby, Swift, and multiple basic and intermediate gaming platforms. Recently she was selected for the inaugural Teen Vogue 21 Under 21 List and was a 2016 NCWIT’s National Aspirations in Technology Award Runner-up.
