Juanita Erb, RN, BSN, MPA
Juanita Erb (She/Her/Hers) currently serves as the Clinical Research Operations and Nurse Manager at the NYU Langone Vaccine Center, where she spearheads community engagement and oversees COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials, including the most recent Pfizer and AstraZeneca clinical trials. Juanita has 11 years of experience as a Clinical Research Nurse and started her research career at the Adolescent AIDS Program at the Montefiore Medical Center Children’s Hospital in the Bronx, where she coordinated HIV PrEP and treatment clinical trials, as well as HPV vaccine trials.

In addition to her research work, Juanita writes and speaks about intersectional LGBTQ+ identity on platforms such as The Advocate, the Huffington Post, the New York Department of Mental Health & Hygiene Women’s Health Activism Summit, and South by Southwest. Prior to the pandemic, she produced some of the largest LGBTQ fashion, beauty, and identity events in the United States at reputable institutions such as The Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, and the California Academy of Sciences. Juanita has also consulted global brands such as Estee Lauder, Target, and Airbnb on intersectional LGBTQ+ inclusive events. Her writing and events have been featured in Vanity Fair, The New York Times, Vice, HBO, Teen Vogue, and NBC news. She currently serves on the advisory board for NYC Pride and is a former advisory board member for NYC’s LGBTQ film festival NewFest.
