Janelle Allen is a serial entrepreneur, cyclist and coffee snob. As CEO and Founder of Learnwise, an online learning company, she helps business owners and corporations create learning products to spread their expertise and brand. Janelle founded Learnwise in 2012, after years of working as a trainer and Instructional Designer for companies such as Pearson Education, Apple and Starbucks. A self-professed nerd, she loves helping people learn and is elated to be able to use tech to do it. She holds two degrees from Georgia State University, a Masters of Science degree in Instructional Technology and a Bachelors degree in English and African American Studies. She is a former member and co-founder of Black Alphabet Film Festival, the nation’s first African American LGBTQ film festival. Having lived in Atlanta for numerous years, she currently resides in Chicago with her partner.
