Hamsavardhini “Anu” Thirunarayanan is a first-generation US college student attending the University of California, Berkeley. They are studying Data Science and Conservation & Resource Studies, with interests in analytics, user experience, demography, sustainability, health, social justice. Anu has a passion for storytelling, and they use this passion to try to make science and technology information accessible to all.
On campus, they are involved with Womxn in Math and Data Scholars (a program for underrepresented students in the field of Data Science). Since June, Anu has also been an intern for the Center for Health, Environment and Justice, where they research the structure of US health investigations and synthesize toxins & pollution data for under-invested communities.
