Deborah Golden, a principal at Deloitte & Touche LLP, is the US Cyber & Strategic Risk leader for Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory.
Deborah has over 25 years of cross-industry experience, focused predominantly within government, life sciences health care, and financial services industries. She primarily helps commercial organizations and government agencies navigate multifaceted cyber problems and transform business or mission strategies and operations. Recognizing the ubiquitous, sophisticated nature of cyber, Deborah uses a values-driven approach to help clients align cybersecurity imperatives with cyber risk and strategic business priorities to strengthen cyber resilience.
Deborah prides herself on leading with authenticity, empathy, and a deep devotion to her team and clients. She is passionate about the acceleration of women and underrepresented minorities. Deborah continues to push the boundaries on establishing even more diverse teams—that not only reflect what we want to see in the world but offer diversity in thought and action – both of which enable more innovative teams producing stronger outcomes. Deborah is also the host of the Deloitte Resilient podcast cyber series discussing the most pressing topics with resilient leaders sharing real insights through unfiltered stories.
Deborah received a bachelor’s degree in Finance at Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in Information Technology at George Washington University. She serves on Virginia Tech’s Business Information Technology and Masters in Information Technology Advisory Boards, is a self-proclaimed fitness junky and avid traveler, and trains service dogs with the Guide Dog Foundation in her spare time.
