Based in Seattle, Gianna Puerini is Vice President at Amazon responsible for the business, operations, product, design, and store development for Amazon Go. She joined Amazon in 2003 to help launch the company’s Jewelry & Watches business and, from there, worked on the overall Amazon Softlines Business (Clothing, Shoes, Jewelry). In 2005, Gianna transitioned to overseeing User Experience Design, Visual Design, and User Research for the retail website. The role continued to evolve and grow, eventually including popular retail website features such as Amazon Customer Reviews. Prior to Amazon, Gianna was based in New York City and served as Global Business Manager at Microsoft. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania. When she’s not working, you can find Gianna playing Texas No Limit Hold ‘em poker.
