Erica Webber accelerates the translation of scientific discovery in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and cloud computing into forward-thinking technology applications and services for enterprises. She and her team execute joint development, research consortia, and intellectual property (IP) partnerships between leading companies and IBM Research. Earlier in her 16 years at IBM, she was a technology IP dealmaker for complex, double- and triple-digit $M deals, as well as a global consulting leader. She currently serves as Co-Chair of IBM’s LGBTQ+ Executive Council.

Prior to IBM, Ms. Webber delivered strong financial and operational results in research leadership positions of increasing responsibility at the University of California San Francisco, ending as the Assistant Controller where she managed $800M annually in sponsored biomedical and clinical research funding. She began her career at Price Waterhouse as a management consultant, where she transformed government operations.

Erica has served as Board Chair and other leadership positions on several nonprofit boards. She is currently on the boards of ReHealth Collaborative and Minorities in Shark Sciences (MISS), as well as on the advisory board of Workplace Pride. She earned a BA degree in International Relations from Stanford University and an MBA from Georgetown University.
Fun Facts: Erica is an avid science fiction and fantasy reader, and has performed publicly as a classical music singer.
