Emon is a senior software engineer on Affirm’s Trust & Safety: Identity Foundations team. They’ve been at Affirm for the last 4 years, working on initiatives including user authentication and identification, fraud detection, and international product expansions. Their current focus is foundational improvements to the user identification architecture, enabling flexibility and ease of development as Affirm expands to new regions and products. Emon also leads the speaker events programming vertical of Affirm’s Gender Empowerment ERG.

Before Affirm, Emon earned a BS & MS in Computer Science from Yale, where they founded Yale Code4Good, an organization that connects students with charities and local governments in order to use technology for social good. Outside of work, Emon enjoys volunteering with Code for San Francisco, attending book clubs, exploring queer art/media, and using public transit (NUMTOTs unite!).
