Google

Debbie Ferguson is a senior engineering executive at Google with over 30 years of experience in high tech. Prior to Google, she was an early leader at Facebook, growing its small business product (Pages) into a multi-billion-dollar business and its group communities business (Groups) into one that is used by over a billion people daily. She has also been a founder and CEO of a company, Ignite Logic, that Google acquired in 2004. Throughout her career, Debbie has specialized in identifying core people problems and using technology to solve them.

Debbie believes deeply that the most successful communities and teams are ones that are comprised of people with a wide diversity of backgrounds. She has developed courses and regularly speaks on topics related to building high performing teams and increasing diversity. She believes that when one group of people is marginalized, everyone suffers. She cares about the challenges that women face as leaders and invests her time in mentoring women who are early in their careers. She is also passionate about solving the many problems and barriers that members of the trans community face as they try to grow and contribute to society. She currently serves as a board member with the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation.
