China Widener is a partner in the technology industry practice at Deloitte Consulting. She has 25+ years of professional experience, she leads clients through technology enabled business transformation and operating model optimization to achieve performance outcomes. China serves as the Consulting Business Leader focused on serving top 50 tech companies and is a leader in several operating roles including serving as a member of: the Deloitte Consulting, LLP Board of Directors, Deloitte’s Black Action Council, and Deloitte’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Council.

China has held a variety of firm roles during her firm tenure including Lead Client Partner for State of Florida, Public Sector Strategy and Operations practice leader, and National Strategy & Operations Diversity and Inclusion Leader. Prior to Deloitte she held roles as COO, In-house Counsel and Asst. Prosecuting Attorney.

Since joining Deloitte, she has co-authored published articles on use of technology frameworks for business, delivery model analysis and closing talent gaps. She has designed, and delivered inaugural programs and workshops focused on preparing clients and practitioners for growth – SpRING (Sponsorship Readiness to Invest, Network and set Goals). She has been featured in Savoy Magazine discussing the value of Sister Circles and interviewed in several publications regarding women’s leadership development.

China received her B.S. Eastern Michigan University, and holds a J.D. from the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law.

China and her wife reside in Austin, TX where her spare time is spent on cattle ranching activities and most recently, learning the art of dirt-tract auto racing.
