Bev Crair is vice president in the Software and Services Group and general manager of Strategic Software Initiatives at Intel Corporation. She is responsible for driving critical corporate-wide software strategic programs and initiatives. Previously, she was vice president in the Datacenter Group and general manager of the Storage Group responsible for driving storage solutions for Intel’s data center customers. Crair joined Intel in 2010 as director of graphics software engineering in the company’s Embedded Communications Group. Before joining Intel, Crair was vice president of DXi Engineering at Quantum Corporation. Earlier in her career, she held a variety of senior management and engineering positions at Burroughs (later, Unisys), Cadence Design Systems, Cisco Systems, Educomp and Sun Microsystems. Her tenure at Sun included being honored with the Sun Microsystems Leadership Award in 2005.
Crair holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. She is a standing member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at the UC Santa Cruz Baskin School of Engineering, and is a member of the board of directors for Girls in Tech, Inc. Crair also leads Intel’s Out and Ally Leadership Council and serves as the Diversity & Inclusion Champion for SSG.
