Anne-Marie Dinius is a registered patent attorney with an undergraduate degree in electrical
engineering. Her practice focuses on intellectual property litigation as well as obtaining patent,
trademark and copyright protection for her clients. She has successfully litigated cases on behalf
of patent, copyright and trademark holders. Ms. Dinius has filed hundreds of patent, trademark,
and copyright applications and she has served as an expert witness on issues of patentability in
Prior to joining West Hill, Ms. Dinius was an associate at large firms on the east and west coasts,
DLA Piper (San Francisco), Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe (Silicon Valley), Choate, Hall &
Stewart (Boston) and Cooley Godward (San Diego). Ms. Dinius also worked as in-house
counsel at Sony Computer Entertainment America, maker of the Sony PlayStation, and in
technology transfer at Northeastern University.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Dinius was an electrical engineer at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology’s Lincoln Laboratory. Ms. Dinius earned her Juris Doctorate and her
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. She is admitted to
practice in Massachusetts, California, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
