Angela Bowman, Ph.D., is the senior scientist for sustainability solutions at John Deere, a position she has held since August 2020. She is responsible for driving environmental and agronomic solutions to enable Deere customers’ evolution of on-farm sustainable practices.
She has over twenty year’s experience in dynamic earth systems science, geospatial analysis, and driving thought leadership in agricultural sustainability. Her passion is to drive scientific understanding through holistic systems approach with focus on asking the right questions to solve complex problems at a global scale.
She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in geology from the University of Iowa as well as doctoral degree in hydrology from Iowa State University.
