Andrea Villa is a User Experience researcher and designer with over 20 years of experience delving into the rich space where humans and technology meet. Deeply curious about the authentic human experience, she has conducted hundreds of research studies and interviewed thousands of individuals on topics ranging from pets to wireless communications to privacy and more. An ardent evangelist for digital accessibility for people with disabilities, Andrea holds a certification in Information Accessibility Design & Policy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
As the Chair of Qualcomm’s AbilityQ employee resource group for employees with disabilities and family caretakers, she is an employee leader on initiatives for hiring and retention, driving visibility and support for people with disabilities at work and at home, and reducing stigma through education and awareness.
Combining her expertise in user experience methodologies and a passion for accessibility as a fertile innovation space, Andrea has designed and deployed a series of Accessibility Lab “pop-up” experiences throughout Qualcomm campus locations in San Diego, CA.
