Andrea is a Product Manager at PastureMap- a grazing management software for ranchers. She fell in love with agriculture and development work while doing field work in the Peruvian Amazon during her undergrad and graduate career at Stanford where she obtained a B.S in Earth Systems, and M.S in Sustainable Development in Latin America. She enjoys combining scientific rigor and data with the empathy driven approach of human centered design to understand problems across scales, from an individual to systems level.
Her personal mission is to empower communities to bring up their standard of living and achieve resilience while maintaining their authenticity. Having been born in Colombia, she has a particular interest in working with immigrant, hispanic, LGBTQ+ and generally underserved communities- particularly folks with multiple marginalized identities. Other causes she’s excited about are prison abolition, food justice, and climate justice.
She’s a Florida transplant, now enjoying communal living in the Bay Area.
