Equity. Inclusion. Equality. If you ever wonder what is on Amanda Black’s mind at any given time, you now have the answer!

Shaped by her lived experiences as a tri-racial, queer, woman from humble beginnings, Amanda possesses deep insight into the lived experience of underrepresented and marginalized people. These lived experiences fuel her passion and dedication to work for equity and inclusion for all people.

Amanda is a seasoned leader who has led teams ranging in size from 1 to 100 and has worked across multiple aspects of Talent in companies ranging from small local businesses to global Fortune companies like Dell and Conduent. At Dell, Amanda was a key leader on Dell’s Americas Talent Acquisition team through multiple mergers and acquisitions of +50K people, an HR technology transformation, and a Diversity and University recruitment organizational transformation. At Conduent, she led the Global Talent Acquisition COE through a 140K+ person split-up, a Talent Acquisition technology transformation, the establishment of Conduent’s first employment brand and Talent Acquisition marketing team, and built its first Diversity and Inclusion organization from the ground up.

At the start of 2020, Amanda shifted from a macro-focus on corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion transformation to a micro-focus on people; the lives that are directly impacted by the prioritization of equity and inclusion in the workplace. She began accelerating her impact in this space by acting in multiple leadership and consulting roles centered around enabling the creation of healthy and diverse talent pipelines for companies who value people first and strive to create diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforces.

Amanda’s current roles span across her own consultancy- Black Drop Consulting, Genesys, and Good Works Consulting. This multidimensional approach allows Amanda to gain insight into how a variety of companies are navigating our ever-changing labor market that is shaped and defined by the pandemic and ever-evolving needs and expectations of people around diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Amanda and her wife, Samantha, live in Austin, TX with their Pit Bull children, Ruth Ellen and Rosa Michelle. In her downtime, you can find Amanda singing or cooking (usually both at the same time!)
