Over the summer of 2016, Alejandra Ruiz interned at the NASA Ames Research Center under the Office of Military Programs. As an intern, she conducted research on Space Acts, current space policies in the U.S., and assisted with an intern exchange between the Naval Postgraduate School and NASA Ames. Prior to this internship, Ruiz studied Government and International Relations at Smith College. She is interested in integrating technology and policy to benefit the public, and will lead a startup with other former NASA interns to create an app that re-formats laws and federal policy to be more user friendly.
