White House LGBTQ Tech & Innovation Summit

Hi there, I’m Lara (not pronounced Laura). Think Lara Croft. There you go! I grew up in Southern California and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area around 10 years ago. Since then, I have had the opportunity to broaden my horizons on various levels. Professionally, I’ve worked in Ops at Apple, Recruiting at Airbnb and now Recruiting at Uber. I am on the Board of Directors for UberPride and am highly involved in pushing forward Diversity and Inclusion efforts across the organization. I studied Political Science and International Relations at San Jose State University. I’m a citizen of the world, interested in learning about people, places, experiences, and cultures and helping to make the world a better place in any way that I can. I am also a HUGE tech guru, who has a soft spot for using advanced technology for humanitarian/philanthropic purposes. I’m super passionate about music, equality, neuroscience, philosophy and political science. If we meet, you’ll likely find yourself having a soulful or deep conversation. Consider yourself warned! 🙂
