Athena Maikish is Director of Marketing at StubHub (an eBay company) where she is expanding StubHub’s capacity to reach new buyers and inspire existing buyers through creative and data driven marketing campaigns. Previously at StubHub she oversaw the Pricing Team and Analytics Team where she focused on optimizing fees and incentives and oversaw the spectrum of data analysis. Prior to joining StubHub, Athena helped build Uber in its early years by leading the effort to develop metrics and processes to manage the execution of key business and growth processes. She has completed numerous analyses and research projects for many organizations including Goldman Sachs, Accenture, The World Bank, UNESCO and Save the Children. Athena holds a PhD from New York University, where she focused on education finance and governance efforts in Ghana and was also a teaching assistant for the quantitative method courses. Athena also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dartmouth and is a proud single mama to happy and mischievous twin toddlers.
